"The Battle for the Dnieper in 1943" museum is really an outstanding military-historical museum. It is located to the north of Kiev in the village of Novy Petrivtsi. This is the site of the former Lyutezh bridgehead. There the liberation of Kiev from Nazi occupation was started in 1943.

The museum complex is set on the area of more than 9 hectares. Visitors can walk along the 650-meter long system of underground bunkers constructed by the order of the 1st Ukrainian Front commander General Vatutin. There is the exhibition of military equipment in the museum. It is always very popular with students. Perhaps the more interesting and objective story of the battle for Kiev can not be heard anywhere except in Novy Petrivtsi.

You feel as if you were taking part in the defense of Kiev in July-September 1941 and in the liberation of Kiev in September-November 1943 while staying in the museum. The battle diorama is wired. It is supplemented with visuals too. "The Battle for the Dnieper in 1943" museum is one of the best military museums in Ukraine. There you can see authentic legendary era belongings. And those events made the modern history.
