Krivoy Rog
Krivoy Rog (also known as Kryvyi Rih, Kriwoj Rog, Krywyj Rih), is a mining and industrial city in the central part of Ukraine, on the Inguletz river, with about 700 000 inhabitants. It belongs to the Dnipropetrovsk Region, and it's also a cultural center of the region with universities, theaters and museums. The name Krivoy Rog / Kryvyi Rih means Crooked Horn in Russian / Ukrainian. The city was founded in the 17-th century by Zaporozhye Cossacks.
